About Trisha j. Patel, MD

Dr. Trisha J. Patel is a board-certified dermatologist at U.S. Dermatology Partners of Dallas Presbyterian and Center for Dermatology Flower Mound. Dr. Patel earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she received top honors as a member of AOA and Gold Humanism, prestigious medical honor societies. After medical school, Dr. Patel began her dermatology residency at Howard University in Washington, D.C., which she completed in June of 2018. During her time there, she simultaneously volunteered at SPOTme, where she performed free skin cancer screenings within her community. In addition to her education, Dr. Patel is a proud member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologist Society, Skin of Color Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Patel has a particular interest in treating dermatologic health disorders, including alopecias, inflammatory dermatoses and cutaneous malignancies occurring in all skin types and colors. She understands the variability in skin pigmentation, skin texture and clinical presentations among multicultural and ethnic backgrounds and employs an individualized approached to dermatologic care, understanding the uniqueness of each patient. She is passionate about helping patients improve quality of life with good skin care and finds it to be truly rewarding watching her patients awake with a new sense of confidence and approach to the world. Dr. Patel most enjoys the ability to make a visible impact in her patients’ lives, especially patients who suffer from physically and socially distressing dermatologic conditions. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skydiving, exploring new places, discovering new foods and spending time with her friends and family.
