About Ibrahim Amjad
Dr. Amjad's love for helping children, started the journey he is still on today He completed a 6 year Med program, completing college and medical school in 6 years as opposed to the traditional 8 years. After the harsh Upstate New York winters, Dr. Amjad came to Mt. Sinai Medical Center, on Miami Beach, one of the busiest General Surgery Community Teaching Hospitals. Operating from Day 1 he began to develop his skills. Realizing his passion was making children whole, he left Miami for plastic surgery training in Ohio. Again Dr. Amjad was accepted and went to one of the busiest Plastic Surgery Community Teaching hospitals. But, he also chose this program because of the huge pediatric plastic surgery experience. This allowed him to operate and treat a patient with the KLS RED, the second patient in Ohio at the time, reinforcing his desire for cutting edge techniques. Once again the harsh winters convinced him to return to Miami. Not content with his 7 years of intense surgical experience, he decided to do a Pediatric Craniofacial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Miami Children's Hospital.Advocating for his patients does not stop with medicine. Dr. Amjad completed his MBA at UMass Amherst, Isenberg School of Business one of the top business schools in the country. He uses his MBA to assist patients and his staff in navigating the complex insurance issues, many of his reconstructive patients have.
