About Ayesha Shahzad, DDS
Dr. Ayesha Shahzad specializes in General Dentistry and frequently has special offers and discounted dental services for the whole family from seniors and adults to teens and kids. A general dentist is the primary dental care provider for patients of all ages and is responsible for diagnosis, treatment, management and overall coordination of services related to the patients' oral health care needs. Dr. Shahzad is a unique and caring clinician who makes you relaxed and explains every aspect of your dental care providing you with the knowledge you need to make an informed decision concerning your dental health. Dr. Shahzad pursued dental education after being exposed to dentistry in childhood when she had her orthodontic treatment done and was inspired by her dentist. She attained her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry in New York where she graduated in 2011. She then pursued further post graduate training in General and Hospital Dentistry at the Yale Medical Center in New Haven, CT from where she graduated in 2012. She has since worked in private practice setting with a diverse set of population before she decided to opt for practice ownership to gain more control of her work quality and ethics. Dr. Shahzad's training covers all aspects of general dentistry and has kept herself up to date with continuing education courses. She is a member of American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association & the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a proud mother of 2 lovely kids and loves to spend her time with family and friends. Her hobbies include reading, swimming, cooking and traveling.
