About Anahita Abdehou, DDS
A Maryland resident for over two decades, Dr. Anahita Abdehou is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. After dental school, she completed a one-year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Maryland dental school and has been in private practice in Maryland ever since. She is the former president of the WIDS. She is also board certified with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. As the leader of her highly trained team, Dr. Abdehou realizes the need for a comprehensive and integrative approach to matters of health. Her personal commitment to well-being is carried through her treatment plans for each and every patient, many of whom travel long distances for their oral hygiene needs. Taking care of her patients’ priorities, done in the ""best way possible”, is what sets Dr. Abdehou apart. Dr. Abdehou is committed to advanced continuing education. She stays current with technological advances through post-graduate training at The Pankey Institute and specialized courses and master training in aesthetic and clinical care. She has extensive training in Biomimetic dentistry, TMJ therapy, obstructive sleep apnea therapy with oral appliances and is an Invisalign® provider. She is currently a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, Maryland Sleep Study, Dawson Study Club, Pankey Study Club and the Maryland State Dental Association. Her mission and philosophy is service to the community, treating patients with respect, kindness and compassion. She also gets much satisfaction from donating her time to the local Catholic Center Dental Clinic. Dr. Abdehou is married with two children. She is deeply invested in preserving natural resources, and community leaderships. In her free time, she likes to spin, take power yoga classes, swim Olympic-sized laps, and travel the world. Her positive and constructive approach is what she takes from her everyday life and invests in each and every treatment plan in her practice.
