About Peter W. Thompson
Dr. Thompson is an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and the newest addition to the Plastic Surgery Division at Emory. Dr. Thompson attended medical school at the University of Virginia. He then completed general surgery residency as well as plastic surgery residency at Emory University. Dr. Thompson’s unique background includes completion of a two-year research fellowship in cell and tissue transplantation, during which he received several awards for his work. As a surgery resident, he was formally recognized for his professionalism and dedication to patients. His special interests include aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body contouring, and general reconstruction following trauma, surgery or cancer.
