Hi, I’m Patricia and the owner of Facial Art Permanent Cosmetics. I am a CPCP (“Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional”) and Trainer with The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, of which I am also a lifetime member. I am also a member of the American Academy of Micropigmentation. I specialize in eyeliner, eyebrows (including microblading and powder), beauty marks and 3D areola tattooing. I have been a licensed technician since 2001. My consultations are free and I work by appointment. I had permanent cosmetics applied in early 2001 and it was and is the best thing I ever did for myself. I trained that same year in June (2001) at Facial Expressions and opened for business. While being certified isn’t required to perform permanent cosmetics in most states, having certification shows that I’ve gone that extra “1,000” miles in my profession, attending conventions, workshops, conferences and continuing education classes regularly, attaining the Bloodborne Pathogen Certificate, CPR certificate and First Aid Certificate as required by the State of Michigan. My permanent cosmetics training includes all aspects of needle know-how (I use single use needles, discarding them after each procedure), color theory and correction, sterilization, sanitation, anesthetics, the history of permanent makeup (of which I had an article published in both the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce newsletter and the Detroit News), equipment usage, etc. I am licensed with the State of Michigan and regularly inspected by the Macomb County Health Department.
