About Marina Shapiro, DDS
Dr. Marina Shapiro has been practicing dentistry for nearly two decades and has undergone extensive education and training to better serve her patients. Dr. Marina Shapiro completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA with a BS degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. She is a graduate of USC School of Dentistry.While in dental school, Dr. Shapiro was placed on the Dean’s list multiple times for achieving a high GPA. She also received a recognition from the American Academy of Orofacial Pain for excellence in her practice. Dr. Shapiro practiced dentistry in Los Angeles from 2001 to 2002, when she moved to San Diego. She worked as a general dentist associate in private practices in Carlsbad, Rancho Bernardo, and La Jolla before opening her own private practice in 2006. She has completed multiple mini-residencies in the field of Implant Dentistry and has vast experience in full mouth rehabilitation of partially and completely edentulous patients. Additionally, she has been Invisalign® certified since 2002 and is on the list of their preferred providers. She also has multiple excellence awards from various insurance companies for providing outstanding patient care. Her practice is recognized by Yelp for great patient reviews. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Shapiro enjoys spending time with her two kids, reading, playing tennis, hiking, and jogging. Additionally, she is a recipient of three Dean's Academic awards and Excellence award of American Academy of Orofacial Pain. Technology development continuously improves the quality of dental care and eliminates inconveniences associated with visiting a dentist. Dr. Shapiro is dedicated to bringing the technical innovations to her office as soon as they are proven to be safe and efficient.
