About H. Thao Tran, DDS
Dr. Thao Tran grew up in Massachusetts and received her undergraduate education at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. There, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Latin with a focus in pre-health studies. She went on to pursue dentistry and earned her D.D.S. degree in 2006 at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. After Dr. Tran completed her dental training, she started practicing in the Bay Area. She enjoys practicing all phases of general dentistry, especially restorative and cosmetic care. Dr. Tran takes pride in her work and treats each patient as if they were a friend or family member. She places an emphasis on making her patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment. She is known for her caring nature and gentle manner. She believes that the most important aspect of her profession is educating her patients on how to achieve lasting, healthy smiles. Along with seeing patients in private practice, Dr. Tran was invited to be an instructor at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She felt honored and privileged to become an educator at one of the leading dental programs in the country. This teaching position gave her the opportunity to give back to her profession. Her involvement in dental education allowed her to keep current with the latest dental research and advances in technology. She also has made continuing education a high priority by attending courses given by experts in the dental field . She is a member of the Alameda Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association. Dr. Tran resides in Alameda and has two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, running, and enjoying good food. Dr. Tran feels very lucky to have found a career that keeps her passionate and allows her to interact with such wonderful patients. She looks forward to meeting you.
