About Gwen Abeles, MD
Dr. Gwen Abeles is a Board Certified Dermatologist who has been in private practice since 1997. Dr. Abeles specializes in treating Cosmetic, Laser, Medical and Surgical Dermatology patients of all ages. Her practice is located in Montvale a beautiful Bergen County, New Jersey suburb. Dr. Abeles is a graduate of Cornell University where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Nutrition. She earned her Medical Degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and graduated with honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After her Internship in Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, she completed her Dermatology Residency at the State University of New York at Brooklyn. Pursuing her interest in the surgical and procedural aspects of Dermatology, Dr. Abeles went on to complete a Fellowship in Cosmetic, Laser, and Skin Cancer Surgery through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Abeles is a contributing author to the text book The Columbia Manual of Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery, and has had numerous articles published in the journals of Dermatologic Surgery, and Cosmetic Dermatology. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, and is on staff at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Dr. Abeles is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery and the Dermatological Society of New Jersey.
