About Ciro R. Martins, MD
Born in Brazil, Dr. Martins earned his medical degree at the University of Sao Paulo School of Medicine. Shortly thereafter, Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions invited him to complete a post-doctoral research fellowship in immuno-dermatology. To obtain licensing and board certification in this country, he repeated his internship and residency training at Hopkins. Upon completion, he joined the Hopkins faculty, ultimately becoming an Associate Professor. Prior to joining Belcara Health, Dr. Martins was a member of the Johns Hopkins Cosmetic Center at Green Spring Station, and was in private practice. Dr. Martins is recognized as an international leader in dermatology with more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles and publications.
