About Christy Bunyan, Aesthetician Specialist
Christy Bunyan Householder is a licensed aesthetician, veteran laser and skin care specialist, and certified injector. She began her career in 1996 in a dermatology office where she was trained by four dermatologists. She then broadened her knowledge of facial aesthetics when she had the opportunity to work under the guidance of plastic surgeons for 3 years. She added a year of obstetrics and gynecology to her resume which really helped her understand how a women’s skin changes during the different stages of life. She has been improving patients' skin health since she joined North Texas Dermatology in 2007.</p><p style="padding:10px;">In 1996, Christy had the privilege of participating in an FDA study on laser hair removal for a year. Not only has she performed thousands of laser and skin care procedures, she has also trained hundreds of doctors, technicians and students how to perform these procedures in her 19 years of experience. She frequently attends workshops, seminars and advanced training courses to stay current and further develop her skills and knowledge. She is a member of ASLMS (American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery) and SCMHR (The Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal, Inc). Christy was recently named a National Trainer for Bellus Medical, the revolutionary company that developed the SkinPen Micro Needling device seen nationally on Good Morning America and the View.</p><p style="padding:10px;">Christy is passionate about skincare and helping people feel better about how their skin looks. “It is easy to make a patient look “overdone and stiff” with fillers, injectibles and other treatments, but that is not my philosophy.” Her experience makes her highly skilled at providing patients (both men and women) with a “refreshed” and “revitalized” appearance by enhancing their natural features. “I am adamant about doing the right thing for the patient and sometimes, less is more." Her knowledge and love of skincare enables her to deliver compassionate care in comfortable atmosphere. Christy is a mother of two who recently remarried and proudly gained 5 more children to her family. Christy and her husband Joe live in McKinney and are also proud grandparents to 2 girls and 1 boy. She is currently accepting patients of all ages and offers complimentary consultations for treatments, procedures and products.
