About Warren A. Ellsworth, MD
Dr. Warren Ellsworth IV is a board-certified plastic surgeon who is committed to the outstanding and ethical care of every patient at Ellsworth Plastic Surgery in Houston, TX. A native Houstonian, Dr. Ellsworth has a unique and fitting background for his career in plastic surgery. While he always called Houston home, he grew up and attended school in many of the world’s major cities, including Paris, London, and Berlin. World-class training combined with his personal and compassionate approach affords Dr. Ellsworth with the key elements to success in plastic surgery. He is currently a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and in 2019, Dr. Ellsworth was elected to the Board of Directors for The American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Ellsworth is known for taking the extra time to educate patients about their surgical and nonsurgical options. After graduating with the highest honors from Lamar High School in Houston, TX, Dr. Ellsworth attended the University of Virginia where he was named an Echols Scholar (one of 30 students chosen for this prestigious award). He received his undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Virginia and was one of few students chosen to complete advanced studies at the world-famous University of Oxford in England. Dr. Ellsworth then returned to Houston where he finished his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery and Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, one of the top programs in plastic surgery in the United States. Dr. Ellsworth trained in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, including prestigious institutions, such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston Methodist Hospital, St. Luke’s, and Texas Children’s Hospital. Through these diverse programs, Dr. Ellsworth gained extensive experience in the newest techniques in breast reconstruction, microsurgery, and cosmetic surgery. After an extensive written and oral examination process, Dr. Ellsworth scored as one of the top in the nation to become board-certified in plastic surgery and a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
